The Order of the Arrow is Scouting’s National Honor Society. Founded in 1915, the OA has recognized Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives for over a century. Today, the service, activities, adventures, and training provided by the OA are models of quality leadership development and programming that enrich, support, and help extend Scouting to America’s youth.

Upcoming Events

Conclave is a section-wide event where we invite all our members to join us in training and fellowship. During our annual Conclave, we have training opportunities available from Dutch Oven cooking to the history of the order. We also have fun activities for all our members, no matter their activity level, to participate.

Operation Arrow is an opportunity to experience the 2023 National Jamboree while providing service with your fellow Arrowmen.

The Jamboree will take place July 19-28, 2023 at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.

Arrowmen interested in Operation Arrow can register at jamboree.scouting.org by selecting “Order of the Arrow Service Corps” or “Summit Apex” as their job choice.

The Order of the Arrow, Eswau Huppeday Lodge 560 sponsors the Carolinas Indian Seminar each year to promote Native American culture within the scouting community. Instruction in Native American dancing, drumming, singing, crafts, clothing, and historical traditions are included.
The seminar also sponsors two pow wows during the weekend on Friday and Saturday evenings. Each provides hundreds of people the opportunity to experience a real Native American tradition of social gathering and fellowship.
