Section Chief – Andrew Adler 

Andrew is an Eagle Scout from Troop 89 out of Monroe, NC. In his troop, he has been a Senior Patrol Leader and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. In the OA, he has been a Chapter Chief, Elangomat Committee Chair, and Lodge Chief of Itibapishe Iti Hollo Lodge.

Andrew has been on Summer Camp staff for 4 years. In his first year he was a CIT at Camp John J. Barnhardt. His second year, he was in the Outdoor Skills area at Camp Barnhardt. His next two years were spent at Trevor Rees-Jones Scout Camp in Athens, Texas as part of Circle Ten Council. Here he worked in Health Science and Aquatics.

In his personal life, he was a swimmer in high school and a member of the National BETA Club. He attends North Carolina State University studying Electrical Engineering. He is a Midshipman in the Navy ROTC Wolfpack Battalion at NC State.

Section Secretary – Grace Franklin

As an Eagle Scout from Troop 91 in the Indian Waters Council, Grace has served as founding
SPL, Troop Guide, Patrol Scribe, OA Representative, Jr. Assistant Scoutmaster, and Assistant
Scoutmaster. In Muscogee Lodge and Section E7, she has served as Vice Chief of Indian Affairs,
Training Chairman, and Section Program Coordinator. She is currently a ceremonialist, fancy
shawl dancer, and Muscogee Lodge Chief.

Grace joined the Camp Barstow Staff in 2020 as a Bundleboss. She has taught Aquatics as a
Lifeguard and currently serves as the Assistant Scoutcraft director leading the E-Corp bundle as
well as COPE and Climbing instructor. She is also a member of the Climbing Committee.

Grace will attend Western Carolina University as a Freshman in the Fall. She earned her
Wilderness EMT this January and plans to major in Interdisciplinary Studies combining Parks
and Recreation Management and Emergency Medical Care as a member of the Brinson Honors
College.
